Did you know that the professionals in your group spend over 60% of their time communicating, internally and importantly externally with your customers, potential customers, your partners and passersbys.
They could be explaining, formulating, informing, influencing, inspiring, presenting or selling. In any case, I would like to concern the real highlight that is happening to your group as we speak with a simple question –Are they putting your brand value at risk?
Why do I say that?
Well, here is the reality. The chances are your group has spent (or is spending) a fair bit of money to ensure that your corporate communication is at World Class Levels. You have a fantastic logo, brand, website, great brochures, fancy TV and radio campaigns, the works. And rightfully so, along with your unique ability, knowledge and skill, your group has worked hard to build its brand value to where it is today.
People live in a world of noise and constant bombardment of messages from everyone, including your competition. Â The truth is that the people who come in contact with your group today are not buying your brand.
People today are buying people.
The question is, are they buying your people?
I regularly attend events, launches, presentations and public addresses when I unfortunately witness a great deal of disappointment and brand value being lost.
What I see is Professionals and Leaders who are great at what they do. They are esteemed individuals and representatives of great groups and brands. They have a fantastic history and plenty of winning stories that they could tell.
However what is witnessed when they take the stage to speak and present is one of mass destruction because they overlooked a Critical Trait in today’s competitive environment – the group overlooked to develop their people, their front line, those who are the face of the brand to Speak and Present at World Class Level.
No matter how great your business, brand, value and competence may be, the reality of where it sits is one that is based on that of your audience’s perception and where they choose to position you in their mind.
And if your audience look at your people and perceive your brand to be far below your real image, value and competence, then it means (in real value) that you are leaving money on the table, having also opened the door for your competition to come right through.
Ensure that you develop your people’s Presentation and Public Speaking skills because when people buy your people, they will readily listen to your message, trust your brand, and ultimately become your loyal customers who buy your products and services.
Ensure you don’t let another day go by your brand at risk because of such a crucial overlook.
I look forward to working with your group to help develop your people’s ability to Present With Power & Speak to Impact, Inform, Influence & Inspire.
