All too often, I have people come to me and complain. They complain about how hectic their life is, how there is so much happening in it, how everything is going wrong, how they have family members visiting them whilst having to juggle their family, work and studies. I hear of people who have lost everything, being made redundant or just come out of a break-up. And I empathise with them, because indeed life is challenging.
It is challenging for everyone.
But the first thing to know is that life is not just picking on you. Everyone faces their set of challenges in different shapes and forms. However, you will find that the winners in life are those who take a different approach to challenges. They don’t see challenges as something that will hold them down. They don’t see it as a reason to lose their dreams. They don’t see it as something to be depressed about.
Quite the opposite, they see it as a test. They know that if it doesn’t kill them, then it will make them stronger. They know that it is the challenges that separate the wheat from the chaff. It is the challenges that separate champions from the pool of players.
When interviewed about his historic 16th Grand Slam Title in Australia, Roger Federer, the all time greatest tennis player to this day as we know him said, ‘I’m being pushed a great deal by the new generation coming up. They’ve made me a better player’
Call him The Swiss Master, call him The Fed Express. What ever you want to call him, he clearly exhibits winning attributes, evident in his results. Here is an example of a guy who in his sport, has dominated his field and has only got a tighter grip of the game because of the challenges he faces on court.
So my questions to you are:
What challenges are you facing on your court?
How are you dealing with it?
Are you allowing it to hurt you? Or are you using them to create a stronger you.
When challenges seem to break people down, use it in your life to breakthrough.
Let challenges you face make you the winner that you truly are.
Have a winning day.

Michael Jordan once said,
I have missed more than nine thousand shots in my career. I have lost almost three hundred games. On twenty-six occasions, I have been entrusted to take the game’s winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is precisely why I succeed.”

Life requires you to put your best foot forward in what ever you do.
If you are not going to do that, you are wasting your time.
Successful people go hard. They bring hard.
Successful people know that it’s Do or Die every second of everyday.
Anything short of it and you are wasting your time.
It is not the size of you in the fight. It is the size of the fight that’s in you.
What will it be?
Successful people know that Winning The Game of Life requires you BRING IT and put in on the table.
Will you run away from all the challenges thrown at you? Or will you say BRING IT, I’m burning hot.
Put your best foot forward or don’t bother at all.
It’s time for you to make a choice.
Go hard, or go home.

What would you do if you were certain? You had absolute certainty in what you wanted to do and there was no chance of failing.
What thoughts would you have?
What decisions would you make?
What actions would you take?
What would you dare to dream?
What step would you take?
What calls would you make?
What approach would you have?
Successful people move with certainty.
Successful people aren’t worried about the path filled with the stumbling blocks. They are certainly not worried about the failures,
Successful people move with the confidence and focus of the end reward.
They have certainty of purpose, and the belief that they will see what they set out to do from start right through to the finish.
That’s what makes them successful.

You might not see it, but successful people work harder and longer than your average person. Many times we think that there was a lucky break that got someone from A to B, and there would have been. But their success came about from the culmination of all their effort that built-up prior to that lucky break.
People say that Bill Gates had a lucky break, Michael Jordan had a lucky break, 50 Cent had a lucky break. Indeed they did, but it was as a result of the countless hours and attempts they put in over time that lead them to that point.
Many are unaware of the magnitude of the work they had to put in. Many don’t see immediate results, and hence tend be reluctant in pursuing their dream. Unless you go all the way, you will not see how much those build blocks of effort were critical to your success. IF you give up, then your effort to date goes to waste.
Well one thing is for sure, you need to hang in when most people decide to abandon ship. You need to push through, when the majority will fall by the way side. You need to ensure that your persistence outlasts the resistance. Only then will you be able to enjoy the fruit of your built up effort. A lucky break is never the result of one push or one blow, but it is the culmination of your repeated and unwavering effort to reach a goal.
That’s what’s required, and that’s what’s agreed upon by all the winners of this world.
